At the Mammal Society we are the national voice for mammal conservation, working to identify the threats mammals face and halt declines before it’s too late. Our aim is to educate the public and professionals about wild mammals to give our wildlife a better future. We do this by providing scientific advice to advocate sound conservation policies based on thorough research and informing and educating people of all ages to raise awareness of mammal conservation issues.
Our training courses are for everyone! From interested individuals, to conservationists and ecological consultants, who want to develop their knowledge, field skills and experience for personal interest or professional development.
From species introduction courses, to practical field-craft weekends, mammal identification and survey techniques, we focus on ecology & biology, law, technical skills, handling & surveying to cover all your mammal training needs.
We can also arrange bespoke courses for groups or consultancies, just get in touch and we will see how we can help.
For any further information, or if you are interested in a mammal related subject we don’t already cover, please contact our training officer Fiona at training@themammalsociety.org.
