County Mammal Recorders

Across the British Isles there is a network of local recording schemes for local flora and fauna. They usually have county recorders for different species groups; experts who collate, validate and share records of a particular group of species. The Mammal Society works with county mammal recorders to collect and share mammal data and records. They also act as verifiers for all records submitted to our online recording form.

If you have large mammal record sets to submit, you can submit these directly to your county mammal recorder.

If you are interested in becoming a county recorder or have any country recording questions, you can contact atlas coordinator Derek Crawley on atlas@themammalsociety.org
