Mammal Society’s 70th Anniversary Annual Conference
Our next conference will be held in person from Friday 12th – Sunday 14th of April and will be held at Robinson College, Cambridge.
2024 is the Mammal Society’s 70th Anniversary, and the Conference will be a chance to look back at challenges and successes in the past seven decades of mammal science and conservation, and look at priorities and opportunities for the next 70 years.

The Mammal Society is committed to addressing barriers to engagement with life sciences and encouraging diverse participation in our work. If the conference fee is a barrier to you please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, as a small number of subsidised and free places will be available via our bursary scheme, allocated on a needs basis, and with priority given to those selected to speak or present a poster.
Call for Submissions
The Mammal Society is calling out for abstracts for talks, posters, workshops and demonstrations for the Conference.
We are keen to feature as wide a range of speakers as possible: academic research, interesting results from consultancy work, surveys and campaigns conducted by local groups and members, innovative methods, technologies and case studies of good practice in mammal monitoring and conservation etc. Qualifications are not required – we would like to feature a range of speakers and facilitators from citizen scientists and conservation volunteers to career scientists and academics. The focus is on the study and conservation of mammals in the British isles and Ireland, however projects and research from other parts of the world will be considered if there is learning and application for British conservation and science.
Please apply via the form below.
The Mammal Society is seeking a headline sponsor for this special, 70th Anniversary conference, and there are opportunities to sponsor awards, bursaries and the Mammal Photography of the Year exhibition.
