We can't help protect British mammals if we don't know where they live. If you see a mammal please record it (record what you saw, specifically where you saw it, when you saw it, and ideally with an OS grid reference and even a photo if possible) and send the record in to the relevant County Mammal Recorder, below, to be verified and submitted to the local biological records centre.
Our network of voluntary recorders usually work at a local wildlife trust, ecological consultancy or biological records centre, and some also manage their local mammal group. All are very knowledgeable, and you can develop your own skills further through our range of training courses, designed to cover all your needs.
