Britain is home to around 60 species of wild mammals found on the land, in the air and in rivers and lakes, with another 18 in the seas around the British Isles. They are an important indicator of the health of our environment, but unfortunately, a number of these species are under seriuos threat of decline.

The Mammal Society is working to understand why this is the case and change this - though it's only with your help that we can! Join today, take part in our surveys, work with your local mammal group and submit your sightings of mammals to help us monitor and protect mammals for the future.
