The mission of The Mammal Society is to work to protect British mammals, to halt the decline of threatened species and to advise on all issues affecting British Mammals. We study mammals, identify the problems that they face and advocate conservation and other policies based on sound science.

To help achieve these goals The Society will, when appropriate, issue clear statements that describe our position on matters that affect the conservation and welfare of mammals.
