The Mammal Society’s Water Vole Mitigation Handbook is now available to purchase as a paperback from NHBS. The handbook is available for £24.99 from the NHBS website here.
The Water Vole Mitigation Handbook, endorsed by the Water Vole Steering Group and CIEEM, provides the latest guidance on mitigating the effects of development on water voles. The first in a new series of practitioner guidance from The Mammal Society, it provides the evidence base for informed decision-making by ecological consultants, planners, competent authorities and developers.
The recent changes to water vole mitigation guidance will be further discussed at the Mammal Society’s Water Vole Mitigation Day. This event will be held at the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester on the 6th July. Speakers will include Mike Dean, co-author of the mitigation handbook, Merryl Gelling, University of Oxford and Elaine Gill from Natural England.
